Action plan for biological diversity and sustainable forestry, Swedish forestry practices have been increasingly modified to take ecological factors into account in recent years. The purpose of the "Action plan for biological diversity and sustainable forestry" is to provide guidelines for use in the continuing effort to manage and preserve Swedish forests in a true sustainable way. This shortened version of the action plan puts particular emphasis on how landscape analysis can be employed. It also contains a description of how to adapt forestry practices to balance dommercial production targets and environmental considerations in a sustainable way. Practical measures given in the action plan are presented in a summary.
